Kayla and Arya
Good morning,
I’m writing to you because I have been struggling over the loss of my girl more than I’ve ever struggled before. I googled “podcasts about losing your soul dog” and yours came up. Thank you for this podcast and giving a way for people to tell their stories as they try to heal. Here is my story—
I got Arya when I graduated college in 2016. She was a red tri Australian shepherd and she became everything to me. She was perfect— the best listener, learner, comforter, most loyal girl I’ve ever known. She was my comfort and she was my home. Arya was so beautiful and so sweet. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She had such a wiggle butt and was the happiest girl I know. She loved being with me, her auntie and the people she loved most. She loved swimming and frisbee and walks. My sisters dog, Tito, was her best friend. They grew up together doing all the things they loved with each other. He’s been lost. She loved cuddling. And after 6.5 years of being able to love her so immensely and being loved by her, it was taken from me in just a few days.
